Psychotherapist

Growing up and entering adulthood can be both exciting and incredibly challenging, especially when trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or changes in your mental health make it difficult to feel like yourself. Whether you're navigating the effects of trauma, experiencing early signs of psychosis, or trying to make sense of a confusing or overwhelming time, my goal is to provide a steady, compassionate space where you and your family feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward.

I work primarily with adolescents, teens, and young adults experiencing trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and early psychosis. I also enjoy working closely with parents and families, recognizing that healing often happens most effectively when the important people in a young person's life feel supported as well. Therapy is deeply personal, and I strive to tailor treatment to each person's unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

Rather than relying on a single therapy model, I integrate Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Attachment-based Therapy, nervous system regulation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based approaches based on what will be most helpful for you. Together, we'll work to better understand your experiences, build emotional regulation, reduce distress, and explore how past experiences and survival strategies may continue to shape present-day patterns. My hope is that therapy helps you feel both deeply supported and equipped with practical tools you can use long after our sessions.

Alongside my work at Palim Health, I serve as a clinical assessor and therapist specializing in early psychosis and clinical high-risk syndromes at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). This work allows me to remain actively involved in providing specialized, research-informed care for adolescents and young adults experiencing early changes in thoughts, perceptions, and functioning.

Before joining UCSF, I worked with justice-involved youth and families through the University of Washington. That experience strengthened my commitment to trauma-informed care, deepened my appreciation for the resilience of young people and families, and reinforced the importance of partnering with caregivers during life's most difficult moments.

My goal is to help clients feel more grounded, more connected, and more confident in their ability to navigate life's challenges. Together, we'll build on your strengths, make sense of what you're experiencing, and create meaningful change that feels sustainable over time.

As I work toward independent licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor, I receive ongoing clinical supervision from Dr. Connor Adams and participate in regular consultation within the Palim Health team. This collaborative approach helps ensure clients receive thoughtful, individualized, and high-quality care.
