Psychotherapist
Life can sometimes leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves, the people we care about, or the life we hope to be living. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, overwhelming stress, trauma, or a major life transition, I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where you can slow down, reflect, and move forward with greater clarity and intention.
I work with adolescents and adults who are looking to better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and develop practical tools for navigating life's challenges. I believe therapy should be tailored to your unique experiences, values, and goals, creating space for both insight and meaningful growth. In addition to working with individuals, I enjoy supporting couples and families, as well as facilitating therapeutic groups where people can learn new skills, build meaningful connections, and discover they are not alone in their experiences.
My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and grounded in curiosity, compassion, and respect for your unique story. Rather than relying on a single therapy model, I integrate psychodynamic therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based approaches selected to best fit your unique needs and goals. Together, we'll explore the patterns that have shaped your life while building practical skills to support meaningful change in your daily life.
I have experience working across multiple levels of care, including school-based settings, outpatient therapy, and higher-acuity programs such as intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP). This breadth of experience allows me to support individuals with a wide range of concerns while collaborating closely with psychiatrists, physicians, and other members of a client's treatment team when appropriate.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 15 years working in the Bay Area nonprofit sector in conservation education and public engagement. My years caring for native wildlife and helping people reconnect with the natural world continue to shape how I think about healing, resilience, and well-being. When it feels meaningful to clients, I enjoy incorporating mindfulness and nature-informed perspectives into therapy as another way to foster connection, self-awareness, and emotional balance.
I believe meaningful change happens when people feel both deeply supported and gently challenged to move toward the life they want to live. My goal is to help you feel more at home within yourself, strengthen your ability to navigate challenges, and build a life that feels authentic, values-aligned, and fulfilling.
As I work toward independent licensure, I receive ongoing clinical supervision from Dr. Connor Adams and participate in regular consultation within the Palim Health team. This collaborative approach helps ensure clients receive thoughtful, individualized, and high-quality care.
